Discover the beauty of Dahlias
From mid-August, the Bulb Region is dominated by Dahlias. There are many activities during this period. From touring along show gardens to the annual Dahlia Mosaic Competition
In recent years, this versatile summer flower has grown enormously in popularity. The Dahlia is a colourful sparkling flower that blooms very richly and long, from mid-summer to October Unlike spring bloomers, dahlias are not bulbs but tubers.
Today, there are more than 62,000 different cultivated varieties in all colours, shapes and sizes. These bright explosions of colour are real eye-catchers. The region's show gardens offer a unique opportunity to admire the diversity and beauty of dahlias up close.
