About Hillegom:
Hillegom is easy to reach by public transport, car, bicycle and even by foot, and in Hillegom there is always something to do. Early 1932 Louis Davids sang his famous song, Naar de bollen, with an ode to Hillegom.

Now, almost a century further, Hillegom is still a unique area, where special landscapes come together on a relatively small surface. Hillegom is situated on the border of the old dunes, wedged in between two beautiful cities Haarlem and Leiden, and bordering the Dutch economic heart in the east: the Haarlemmermeer. On the west side adjacent to a beautiful dune area, intersected by the blue vein of the Bollenstreek, as the nickname of the Haarlemmertrekvaart-Leidsevaart has been for centuries.

Hillegom is a beautiful area with a rich history. Lovely to live in, fantastic to enjoy, cycling, walking or otherwise. From March till May, hundreds of thousands of tourists are drawn to the area every year, to enjoy the splendour of the flowers in the fields, Keukenhof and flowerbeds. But also after the bulb-period, Hillegom is a nice place to be.

Come and visit us more often and enjoy all the beauty of Hillegom.
