With the emphasis on tulips, the bulb cultivation and development of both the past and present, are vividly displayed in the museum.

In the museum, visitors experience the Flower Bulb Region through an interactive exhibition for the whole family. The museum tells about 500 years of history of the region, the work on the land 100 years ago and now, and the science behind developing new tulip varieties.

In addition, through one of the most important print collections in the field, an art collection consisting of paintings, glass, silver and porcelain, and changing exhibitions of contemporary art, you can see how artists are inspired again and again by the beauty of flowers.

A visitor's guide is available in 6 languages.
Next to the permanent exhibition the museum has a number of special exhibitions throughout the year. A visit to the museum can be easily combined with a visit to Keukenhof flower gardens, also situated in Lisse.
