During the family splash, children always have to be accompanied by an adult.

Every Friday evening children can come and swing in the disco pool to the latest top-40 hits! The big lights go out and the special disco lights come on, making you feel like you are in a real disco. The disco swimming is for children in the age of 14 who have at least an A-diploma. During the disco swimming you can also celebrate your birthday party.

At "De Waterkanten" sports centre, children can get their mermaid diploma. In a lesson of 1.5 hours in the recreational pool they learn to swim like a mermaid (or like a shark for boys or tough girls). The 1.5 hours includes a small break where the children can catch their breath with a glass of lemonade. Afterwards, the children receive their mermaid diploma (or shark diploma)!

In sports centre "De Waterkanten", the swimming pool is regularly opened for recreational swimming, for both the youth and the adults. During recreational swimming, all pools are open (competition pool, instruction pool, recreational pool, whirlpool and paddling pool). And of course you can also slide down the 60-metre slide and jump off the diving board.

During the school holidays of the Central Region, the swimming pool is opened for free swimming and there are special holiday swimming activities for children up to 15 years of age. The 12-metre obstacle course is also located in the competition pool on Tuesdays and Fridays. The inflatable attraction with all kinds of obstacles and hurdles makes it a challenge to get to the other side!

The best children's parties are celebrated at De Waterkanten. There is plenty to do for everyone! Think of a climbing party, laser gaming or a sports and games party. Or how about a mermaid or shark party? And after such a fun activity, sit down with all your friends for a delicious meal.

Sports Centre "De Waterkanten" has a toddler pool with a number of fun play elements. This aquatic playground is specially opened for parents who want to swim with their baby or toddler. There is a small slide and fountains. There is also a lot of small play material available so that the children do not have to get bored. The whirlpool is also part of the water playground. The maximum depth of the water playground is 30 cm.
