The Oostergeest Estate is one of Warmond's characteristic country estates, complete with park woods and gardens.

Like many estates, Oostergeest originated from a farm. In 1667, a manor house was already situated here and in 1729, land was purchased which gave the estate its current size. In 1733, the manor was given a cupola room, in the first years of the 19th century, the house was raised 50 cm and in the second half of the 19th century, about half of the low building section behind the manor was demolished.

With this change, the kitchen was situated in the cupola room. Since the last renovation, the house has hardly been changed. What remains is a classicist house with empire decorations. Authentic elements such as sash windows, original ironmongery and the layout of the house with an enfilade on the first floor (rooms that are connected to each other both via the corridor and a connecting door).  The coach house, which was built at the same time as the mansion, has unfortunately retained little of its original condition.

The garden of Oostergeest was originally geometric. From the beginning of the 19th century, the garden was redesigned in a landscape style. The impressive lime trees on both sides of the straight avenue to the northeast of the house are a reminder of the geometric layout. In the garden, there are three gazebos from the 18th and 19th centuries. Both the house and the park have been owned by the same family for over 150 years, who strive to keep the house and park in good condition.

The house cannot be visited. However, you can pay to visit the garden. You can buy a ticket at the house.
