You can also eat and drink here, with an amazing view over the lakes. At the Koudenhoorn family beach, you can enjoy coffee, a beer or dinner at Coazy. The Nature Discovery Centre is also located here.

The nature reserve is protected by fences and wildlife grids. From 15 March to 15 July, the many birds can brood here undisturbed.

In the middle of the island are the Kinderspeelbos (childrens' playforest), the Tjarda scout group's log cabin and the Koudenhoorn horse stable, part of the Kloosterhof children's farm.

Koudenhoorn is truly magnificent!

From the water
From the water you can easily get to the village via Koudenhoorn. There are mooring places on both sides of the island. Across the bridge (where the tourist information office is located) you will reach the Dorpsstraat in 5 minutes, where you will find an Albert Heijn supermarket and a bakery, as well as numerous restaurants and bars. In addition to hairdressers, an organic butcher, gift shop and flower shop, you will also find various galleries here.
